The Aztech HW550-3G brings dual functionality to users offering the convenience of sharing 3G Mobile Broadband with the high speeds of 802.11N WiFi networking. No fixed cable or DSL line is needed - simply docking a compatible 3G/3.5G USB modem to the Aztech HW550-3G allows business partners, family, and friends to share an instantaneous wireless solution wherever they are. Users can create their own high-speed WiFi network to share at project discussions, tradeshows, workshops, business meetings, hotels or cafes. At home, consumers have the additional option to use the Aztech HW550-3G as a 4 port Wireless N router by connecting an ADSL or cable modem to it.

The HW550-3G allows users to run media intensive high bandwidth applications such as online gaming, vide-conference or VoIP. Downloading high resolution photo files or streaming High Definition video wirelessly or via Ethernet is a breeze.

The NET-3G-HW550 creates a secure Wi-Fi network by supporting the latest wireless security features to prevent unauthorised access. It supports 64/128 bit WEP, WPA, and WPA2 to ensure that you will be able to secure your Wi-Fi network, regardless of your client devices. In addition, the 3G Mobile Router utilizes dual active firewalls (SPI and NAT) to prevent potential attacks from across the Internet. The product integrates 2x2 (2 transmit and 2 receive) antennas. This MIMO technology overlay the signals of multiple radios which successfully reduces “dead spots”, increasing throughput and increasing wireless coverage range.

By connecting a HSDPA USB modem into the USB port of the NET-3G-HW550, the Internet can be accessed and shared virtually anywhere within a wired or wireless broadband network. You can also directly connect Ethernet-based devices to its built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 switch.
